This policy explains what information propelaccountant.com collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The site is run by Propel Accounting, owned by Andrea Boyd, in Washington State. It covers this website only.

What I collect

What you send me. When you use the contact form, you give me your first and last name, email address, phone number and message. If you email me directly, I receive whatever you include in that email.

What the site records automatically. Like most websites, this one records basic information about visits: pages viewed, the type of browser and device, the general location suggested by your internet address, and the site that sent you here. This is collected by Squarespace, which hosts the site, and I see it only as summary statistics.

I don't ask for financial account numbers, tax identification numbers or other sensitive information through this website. Please don't send them through the contact form.

How I use it

I use what you send me to reply to you and to talk about whether and how I can help your organization. I use the visit statistics to understand how the site is used and to improve it.

I don't sell your information, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing. I don't send newsletters or marketing email.

Who else handles it

Squarespace hosts this website, stores contact form submissions and provides the visit statistics. See the Squarespace privacy policy.

Google reCAPTCHA checks contact form submissions for spam. It is subject to the Google privacy policy and terms of service.

My email provider delivers and stores the messages you send me.

I may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Cookies

The site uses cookies that Squarespace needs to run it, plus cookies that count visits for the statistics described above. It doesn't use advertising cookies or ad tracking. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though visit counts won't include you.

How long I keep it

I keep contact form messages and emails as long as needed to respond and for my ordinary business records. If you'd like yours deleted, ask and I'll delete it unless I need to keep it for a legal reason.

Your choices

You can ask to see the information I have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email me at andrea@propelaccountant.com and I'll respond within 30 days.

Children

This site is meant for organizations and businesses. It isn't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.

Links to other sites

This site may link to other websites. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave this one.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
